Avodah homes welcome adult women survivors of sex-trafficking who are pregnant or have children under 18 months of age.
Residents are invited to spend 1-2 years in the Avodah program. The program offers a daily schedule of setting goals, time for prayer and reflection, engagement in life-skill classes, and time in community with other residents, the religious sisters, and staff. Avodah also works to connect residents with resources for medical care, psychological care, and other needs for both mother and child.
Our Program

During her time at Avodah Villa, a resident will participate in our 5 phase healing program:
-
This phase is a time for women to be, rest, and restore. She will be welcomed into the community at Avodah, and begin her healing process in therapy, life skills classes, checking in on her physical health for her and her child, case management, and beginning to hope and dream for what she wants for her future.
-
Taking Root is the phase in which a resident is ready to further embark on her healing journey. She has transitioned into daily life at Avodah Villa and she will continue to work towards her goals for her mind, body, and her soul, and will continue to participate actively in therapy, case management, lifeskills, and community programming at Avodah Villa.
-
The Budding Phase is the phase in which a resident begins pursuing her career and educational dreams. She will actively participate in the job skills program at Avodah Farms and or/ pursue her educational goals. She will continue to participate in the Avodah Villa community as well as continue upon her healing journey.
-
In the Blooming Phase, the resident is living life more independently, is actively participating in the job and or education program, and is actively searching for employment. Once she has obtained employment, she is growing in her skills of balancing motherhood, employment, self care and will continue therapy and life skills classes.
-
In the Flourishing Phase, the resident gains more independence and ownership of her healing and restoration at the Villa. She is mastering her skills at living more independently. She is demonstrating intrinsic motivation for change and has reached the point where she is preparing for transitional or independent housing.
